I Rock!  You Rock!  Girls Rock Chicago!

Embrace your inner roadie and help Girls Rock! Chicago load out its

2012 Summer camp at Chicago Quest School.

Shift 1 will take place at the Chicago Quest School, where One Brick volunteers will move out, organize, and label Rock Camp equipment onto the moving truck.  (The truck will deliver the equipment to storage where the second shift of One Brickers will be waiting!)

Girls Rock! Chicago is under time constraints to get this done... but as we know - many hands make light work!!  So come on out, work up a little sweat and rock it out!

What you should know

We encourage public transportation, but if you are driving, there is a large parking lot at Chicago Quest School.  Dress comfortably, bring an extra water bottle, and closed-toe shoes are a moving day must!  (Safety first!)

Where to meet

Parking lot at the Chicago Quest School.

Other Info: All volunteers must be at least 21 years old.

Organization: Girls Rock! Chicago

Girls Rock! Chicago is a 501(c)(3) non-for profit organization dedicated to fostering girls’ creative expression, positive self-esteem and community awareness through rock music. Through music education programs for girls ages 8-16, they are committed to educating girls about the musical, technical, and creative aspects involved in musicianship. They believe that rock music can be a crucial tool in allowing young women to respond to preconceived notions of what they can do and what they can become. For more information, visit www.girlsrockchicago.org.

Driving: The school is located in the old Sojourner Truth building in the Near North side off N. Clybourn between Halsted and Larrabee. Take North Ave to Clybourn. Go south on Clybourn two blocks and make a right at Ogden.
