Financial Overview

One Brick raises the majority of its operating funds through the grass roots efforts of its local chapters. We also leverage foundations and national organizations to help fund our expansion to new communities. We are proud that we are able to run a large volunteer organization on a very modest budget.

In 2012, we provided over 50,000 hours of service in 11 communities on a budget of $124,000.  Our primary funding sources are Our Volunteers (50%), Business Partnerships (25%), Community Events (13%), and Volunteers Employers (11%)

Our Volunteers

Individual Donations

Over half of One Brick's funding comes from the generosity of our volunteers.  We are especially pleased that they not only give their time but also help support our work financially. In 2010, over 300 people made direct donations via our website. They think we're awesome and the feeling is mutual.

Social Events

Each One Brick chapter hosts regular social events such as Happy Hours, Bowling Tournaments and Board Game nights.  For a small admission fee, attendees can mingle, have fun, make new friends and support a great cause (without doing any work)!

Community Events

US PGA/Prom Catering

Prom Catering provides event services to the US PGA. One Brick partners with Prom to help run US PGA events, providing volunteers in exchange for a donation. One Brick has been working with Prom Catering since 2008.

Oktoberfest by The Bay

Oktoberfest by The Bay is the largest beer festival on the West Coast. One Brick has provided volunteers for the festival in exchange for a donation since 2004.

Business Partnerships

Opinions For Good (Op4G)

Op4G's is working to establish membership base that receives cash payments for involvement in a broad range of Internet-based market research activities. They also make a donation of at least 25% of the funs to a members designated non-profit. One Brick promotes Op4G to it's members, these members complete surveys and the member and One Brick both receive a fee.
